Great ! I suggest light airy Mozart chamber music because something with big sound distracts more than helps. Did you know there are studies that babies increase their thinking process listening to mozart? I believe those who peg classical music as an old persons thing have been indoctrinated by the Nickelodeon and music channels. I am an 80 year old who plays and conducts his own music. My students are famous worldwide and they are not old folks.

I like listening to classical piano music. On itunes theres some good deals on piano music. Search for 'moura lympany' and 'Chopin Preludes' and 'ultimate piano classics' BQ 1: YES. I listen to all sorts of music when I'm doing homework. Rock, pop, alternative, and classical. Whatever I'm in the mood for. BQ 2: NO. I am 13.

i do the same!! I'm 14 and i like listening to classical music. I would recommend pieces from Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin and Johann Sebastian Bach. Actually listening to classical music makes you smarter, this is what we call "Mozart Effect." It says there that listening to Mozart's music may induce a short-term improvement on the performance of certain kinds of mental tasks known as "spatial-temporal reasoning;" so I absolutely advice you to listen to more classical songs and don't mind those people who can't appreciate songs like that. We all have different tastes.

Well since she's turned it down for you, maybe you're being too sensitive. Study somewhere else, like a libary nearby. Set up a schedule with her for the days she can make as much noise as she wants while you're out and when she can make less noise when you're studying. You have to make sacrifices too, it has to be even.

this would properly be a perennial problem in college dorms. some dorms have a broadcast "quiet hours" coverage, wherein case you will get the resident consultant in contact. you may continuously charm to the human beings who handle the dorm, yet whilst they are unavailable, uncaring, or extremely-liberal, you're in all probability out of success. you would be able to could stumble on a quiet, inner maximum place to learn, in the library or another spot away out of your very own room. i can't talk something myself, whilst there is any sort of music enjoying. It sidetracks my innovations thoroughly.
