Question: I was trying to add a website to my top sites on my macbook pro, so i doubleclicked the website, held down the command key, and dragged it down to add it, but instead it took the whole thing with it, so now there is no where for me to type in another website! the only way for me to go onto another website is to open a new tab, and luckily google is on my top sites, so i can just click on it and enter info there, but i need the address bar back!!

I've done this many times and the first time I did it my reaction was the same as yours. It's actually a simple fix. Okay first, make sure Safari is the active application (It will say Safari next to the apple, just by viewing this window makes Safari active) Then on the menu bar you will see File, Edit, View, History, etc., click 'View' A dropdown menu will appear, when it does select Customize Toolbar. Then you can click and drag the default toolbar back to it's proper placement or customize your own. For purposes of simplicity I usually just use the default. Problem solved. :) (and I'm not sure if this works if you removed the toolbar, but on the View dropdown menu you could just try clicking 'Show Toolbar', I never thought to try that) And on another note, there is a History option right next to the Bookmarks. If you click History a dropdown menu will appear with all the websites you visited in the last 30 days, so you can always access different windows that way.

Easy fix. Just pop in your mac osx install cd, and double click the "Extra" folder. From there there is a package called "Applications" or something like that, just double click it, select "Dictionary" and press install. Done.

Hi, keep in mind that the desktop icons are just shortcuts to the programs. The actual program should still appear in your program list on your start menu. If you would like it placed back on your desktop, just locate the program in the program list on your start menu and right-click, then select "Send To" and click on "Desktop." Hope that helps.

You didn't delete powerpoint. You just deleted the shortcut icon from the desktop. The easiest way is to open your recycle bin, find the icon, and then restore it. If it's not in there, then just click start button, click all programs, scroll down to Microsoft Office, find powerpoint, hover your mouse over the powerpoint name (don't click!) and then while still hovering, press the Ctrl and Shift keys together with your other hand and then left click your mouse, hold it down (now you're holding all 3 down) and go to the desktop where you want it and then let go of all 3. Now it's back on the desktop.
