Topic: Why do people claim Obama is a Muslim?
July 19, 2019 / By Rexana Question:
I am certain that he was an atheist until he converted to Christianity in 1988. He wrote in his book: "It was because of these newfound understandings—that religious commitment did not require me to suspend critical thinking, disengage from the battle for economic and social justice, or otherwise retreat from the world that I knew and loved—that I was finally able to walk down the aisle of Trinity United Church of Christ one day and be baptized."
I think that says something. Especially considering the fact that his father was "raised a Muslim, but a confirmed atheist", and who believed that "religion held no particular value in the world".
rizinout... I have found in my studies of the scriptures that 99.9% of what Christianity teaches is unscriptrural. I tend not to believe that there are any Christians in the world; or at least that I'm not one of them.

I think it says that he knew if he was going to have a future in poltics he would have to have a religion. Athiests don't win elections.
Personally, I don't care. But, in this country, unfortunately, we have a lot of racists and bigots who just don't like the idea of a black man being president.
he is not a christian. I am not saying he is a muslim because I don't know if he is or not, but look at the veiws of his church and his pastor who is one of his greatest influences and you will see he is not a christian. God forbid if him or Hillary get in. McCain isn't much better than them two either.
It's all fear mongering by the right-wing. And the thing that's even more stupid, is that some people will fall for it.
