How can I solve this hair problem?

How can I solve this hair problem? Topic: How can I solve this hair problem?

Question: I have really thick and mildly curly hair about shoulder length. I have dandruff that every so often is treated then comes back. This time I want to hopefully get rid of it for good. Last time I completely didn't use any conditioner and what i would do is first take some Head and Shoulders and lather my head, let it sit for a minute, wash it out, comb out my hair, then take a small coat of Head and Shoulders again and rub it into my scalp. It seemed to work but now my dandruff is coming back. What should I do? How should I comb out my hair? Am I using the right shampoo? Also I don't really like how Head and Shoulder makes my hair feel all dry. Help me please. Thanks

Head & Shoulders is bad! You are not using the right shampoo. Go into your nearest salon hair product shop and tell them your condition. They will fit you with a nice organic shampoo just for you!!

Have you tried silk therapy? They sell it at Shoppers Drug Mart.. though its 20 bucks a bottle there.. but you can get it at Costco for wayyy cheaper or at a beauty store for cheaper as well.. there is a shampoo and conditioner, but I just use the silk serum .. you only need about a dime size and rub it in your hands and smooth it onto wet hair before blowdrying and then if you want more silky-ness you can smooth a little more on after your hair is dry, its really nice because its actual silk and smells ReALLLLLYYY GOOD.... also... you should try using Selsun shampoo... not selsun blue.. but REGULAR plain selsun shampoo... you just use it every now and then and it helps with greesies and dandruff too... its about 12 bucks at shoppers- though this stuff doesnt smell that great- but it IS good for your head (or so I'm told) --- as for the poofiness- when you get your hair cut get them to razor it a bit to get out some of the bulk- this will cut down on poofies.-- sorry but I'm not quite sure about any really good organic products

my hair used to do that.... well if your hair is frizzy use a shampoo with moisturizing but not too much try natural moisture and if it is dry try putting condition on your roots first but DONT leave in or it can get greasy and wash out with cold water to lock in the natural moisture and rinse out then put conditioner on your roots and leave it in for about four minutes if you do this your hair will be more moisterized and if it is greasy it is ok to wash it every day if you take care of it. if its poofy and you blow dry it when you get out of the shower dont put any extra products in it just blow dry the night before and sleep on it so when you wake up to straighten it it will be less poofy =]] hope it helps it really really worked for me and made my hair more healthy =]

alright so i have basically the same problem as you do, but i've been doing this for the past year and it's really helped. buy the shampoo Rusk, biosilk or biolage. they're a little bit on the expensive side, but they're def. worth it and they last a good amount of time too. after washing/conditioning with those, blow dry your hair on warm or hot heat, then straighten it. once done with that apply a bit of oil in your hair so that's it's not dry/fluffy and it looks silkier. I also apply this thing called BedHead afterparty ( you can get it at target or ulta) and it smells amazing and makes your hair super silky. i promise if you follow these steps, your hair will look amazing it worked for me(:

It is like near perfect, also they have dandruff brushes that I heard worked really well! You should try it out! I used to get dandruff, and my hair is black none the less! Hello, you can call me lucky!lol Yeah, but T-Sal really works!

When you wash your hair with one of those nutrient-rich shampoos, most of the nutrients and active ingredients in the product don’t actually end up in your hair, they wind up down the drain… along with all the money you spent on the shampoo. It is HOW you use to style your hair or what styling tools that damage the hair, and what chemicals you're adding to the hair, not the shampoo. Eliminate the CAUSES for DRY HAIR FOREVER 1. Hair gets very dry from too much sun exposure, same with the skin. 2. Shampooing in Hot water & chlorine in the pool causes the skin to get 'dishpan' hands look, so does the hair. So use warm water. 3. Blow drying too long. If you need to blow dry, towel dry first air dry some, then blow dry for 5 mins. 4. Don't use products containing alcohol. Gel has alcohol, so does hair spray. 5. Perming, relaxing & dyeing all causes hair feeling like hay. Get frequent trims, allowing new growth to take over. 6. Don't shampoo often. Washing less often, builds the natural oil your hair needs, to get them smoother, shinier, silkier, softer. Man-made products are just temporary, until you wash them again, and at the same time washing off the natural oil your hair NEEDS. Hair product just absorbs on your hair if they're dry, like a sponge. 7. Overbrushing. Avoid too much brushing or styling in the winter. Harsh winter months can leave your hair dry, dull, brittle, or frizzy. DOs: 1. Cover your hair with a scarf or hat when you go outside to prevent sunburned even during winter. 2. At the end of washing your hair, rinse it thoroughly with cold water. This locks in moisture, according to Hair Care Guide.com, and gives your hair extra shine. 3. Always dry your hair thoroughly before you go outside, since damp hair can freeze and break.
