Question: and that living here warents some kind of dominant reasoning but only among ourselves..why is is so strong. And yet others look at us as the weakest for example, we fire someone from a job if they aren't doing what we call a good job, when in reality all we have to do is work with that person for a while to get them better at what their doing. so In reality the employer is loosing money. But we praise ourselves for firing people...dumb?? yes! why do we think were so smart

You could have a look at 1. Edward Said's text 'Orientalism' for the way that 'the West' constructed themselves as the superior race for several centures http://www.renaissance.com.pk/FebBoRe2y6... 2. Then contrast that text by Said which shows how the West created their 'positive looking glass self' by negating the 'East' , with these other more accurate portrayals of the scientific contributions of non Western scholars and scientists http://ehlt.flinders.edu.au/education/ie... 3. also have a look at Derrida's thesis of 'Differance': In this, he shows how we all make ourselves look good by contrasting ourselves with imagined 'despised 'others' and constanlty generate images which reinforce 'our' superiority. http://web.utk.edu/~misty/Derrida376.htm... 4. For your point about 'others look at us as the weakest' this article (and your additional explanation of that point' Comparative Masculinities: Why Islamic Indonesian Men are Great Mates and Australian Men are Girls M. Donaldson P. Nilany R. Howson, tends to support your argument http://ro.uow.edu.au/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1142&context=artspapers

In my opinion, all religions are false hopes, or whatever you want to call it. And no I wouldn't want to look at someones back side 5 times a day. :)

A large influence, in modern times, of many of the ideals and values developed and inherited from Romanticism Several subcultures (sometimes deriving into urban tribes) and countercultural movements, such as hippie lifestyle or New Age, that have left several influences on contemporary mainstream or subcultural tendencies (some of them, especially in the mainstream, can become merely aesthetic). ====================================

Violence in the media probably does affect people in a bad way, but funnily enough I know of more cases where adults have told me they had an horrific nightmare after watching something bad on television. Sex, as long as it isn't violent, surely can't do any psychological harm? I have no studies to quote (and people do too much of that crap here anyway), but here in the Netherlands parents walk through some red-light districs with their children and no-one bats an eyelid. A lot of folks who hung around there as kids have not become prostitutes or disturbed, so I'm waiting for evidence on that one. I think that 'experiencing' real live violence is the worst. That stays with you. You always feel that things on a screencan be turned off.
