My refrigerator wasn't getting cold enough.?

My refrigerator wasn't getting cold enough.? Topic: My refrigerator wasn't getting cold enough.?
July 19, 2019 / By Ken
Question: ...and I checked out the back of the fridge. There was a tube going into the fridge that had air going through it...but it had a large crack in it. I decided to seal the hole up, and now my refrigerator seems colder. Have I solved the problem, and what was the problem, if there was one? I'd like to know, because I'm thinking about just buying a new one. Thankyou! Thankyou...I think I fixed it...we did have a leak...and now it's gone. Thank Gawd :-)

In most refrigerators, there is a fan in the freezer section that blows cold air into the refrigerator part. If the fan motor fails or if there is a leak ( like yours ) the refrigerator part will not get cold enough. Make sure your refrigerator is cold enough, if it is - you are all set.

Libs were hoping for a shovel ready job, free gas, free healthcare, and freedom from any responsibility of adult life in a human society, as well as the right to root for the same team, if ya know wat I mean Stay conservative, my friend

MOST Americans (~55-60%) own US Stocks...The people who voted for Obama in 2008 (which included 8% of registered REPUBLICANS, BTW) were hoping he would changed the direction of the Stock market...which he did....in 2012, BECAUSE of that, he got the votes of close to 12% of registered Republicans... I'm guessing that Bush left YOU either "too poor" or just too lacking in sufficient patriotism to invest in America, huh? Where do you keep YOUR money? The Cayman Islands? Or don't you actually HAVE any money? You do understand that if you live in America and you have no money that's YOUR fault, right? (Of course you do! We've seen you say as much on here!) NASDAQ under G W Bush; 2,770 DOWN to 1,477 (Net LOSS 52%) NASDAQ under Obama; 1,477 to 4,185 (up 2,709 points, or 183%) Dow under G W Bush; 10,860 down to 8,279 by the time he left Office (Net loss -23.7%) Dow under Obama ; 8,279 to 16,606 (up 8,327 points, or 101%) S&P 500 under Bush; 1,343 to 805 (down 538 points, or 46%) S&P 500 under Obama; 805.22 to 1,900.53 (up 1,096 points or 136%)

It depends on what you used to repair it. You might want to replace that tube. Some refrigerators use the cold (kind of second-hand) air from the freezer to cool the refer box. You didn't give a diameter of the hose and I'm guessing that is what it's for. Even if you have to pay to get it replaced it would be cheaper in the long run.

If it has not been disturbed from its normal setting, don't turn it. If the thermostat is correctly set, check the defrost timer.
