Question: need details about chicken egg thru incubator i read in news paper long time ago about lowering the temp for certain time will result to all female chicks, however this female chicks when use as brood hen will result to higher % of males(90%) it was in the UK research if i'm not mistaken. i need some expert to explain to me the details since i'm going to used it for my agri-business... i do research a while but cant find any reason, but its true they will determine via temp. on a certain time let say 10 days (im not sure) for 34degrees for 3 days the reason accdg. to my reserearch, male will not survive since they need higher temp. for their exceptional higher metabolism, so female will be higher at that period why i'm confused is when they used this as a brood hen it will give 90% males. by the way UK research intended for broiler production, my mistakes is i didn't cut the clip, is there anyone there?

This is not true. Birds like mammals receive the genes that determine sex when the parents mate before the eggs are ever laid. Changing the temperature of the incubation will not affect genetics. Some reptiles (but not all) have temperature dependent sex determination but no birds do.

Hi, I think the most important thing to start with is to get your baby into a good sleep routine. I had massive problems with getting my 5 month old son to sleep. He would just lie awake and cry for hours, then when he finally went to sleep he would wake every hour or two hours through the night and cry again! Talk about pulling our hair out .... we were absolutely desperate for sleep! It was a baby sleep audio program recommended by a friend that finally saved us. We followed the advice and began by creating a baby sleep routine which included bathtime, dimming of the lights, putting Josh into his crib, final nappy change and then lullabies. We also made recommended changes to his naps during the day and used some of the other recommended techniques. Within two weeks he was sleeping through the night most nights with just the odd night where he would just wake once! If you want to take a look, the site for the audio program is at http://www.babysleepsolution.com Definitely start by creating a good baby sleep routine though and you could find that solves most of your baby sleep problems. Good luck!

I put my daughter on my chest, facing me, and roll to the side and let her head drop in the crook of my arm. I cuddle her lying down on the bed like that with both of us on her sides; sometimes with breast out (need to arch my back a bit, but it is possible to nurse like that). If she is very fussed sometimes there's a bit of 'shh-shh-shh' and back-rubbing or bum-patting, with a blanket over both of us. Occasionally I don't roll to the side and just let her fall asleep on top of me, sometimes reading a book while she does... If all else is failing or I want to get something done, I pop her in a sling or other soft carrier and move around. The right carrier (try a mei-tai style) works fine even with a larger baby.

Since there is so much at stake ,you need to trace the article you read & also collect all the knowledge you can get on the subject of temperature dependent sex determination in poultry . To my knowledge reptiles like turtles & some crocodile species depend on temperature changes at a given period in incubation to determine or even change the sex of the developing embryo.Extensive research has given us these findings & also this knowledge is being put to use in conservation of such endangered reptile species .

You cannot make them male. They are already decided before the egg is laid. Usually there are slightly more males than females from my experience. Say out of 10, 6 would be males.

First you will find that there is no promises in any interview of what will or will not work best. it is completly based on the individual that you are dealing with. for instance the things that I look for in interviews are cues. that would be the response to certain questions I ask or are asked of me. If for instance the question is "what are you looking for in a company or postion" then the answer that best fits would be details relative to the position or line of business and most importantly the hints of growth and personal advancement. A person who is to uncertain to let me know that they want to grow and/or move up in the company is either not very ambitious or is not planning on staying for a prolonged duration. once angain this is just what I am looking for. I also look at the personality. is the person confident, secure and well manored or are they looking around throughout the interview and shifting about when they are talking. I will drag an interview out a little bit if I think the person is getting nervous just to see how they are reacting. It doesn't do much good to have a person working for you if they can't comunicate with you. This is a brief overview of what I look for, but then again I am quite the people person, or so everyone I worked with over the years has told me. hope this helps some, good luck
