Or risk having any chance in hell of ever winning an election again?
Americans told Washington to stop the partisanship and start working together to solve this country's problem. Stop the hate, the lies and everything the GOP has become. If they don't the GOP will become a thing of the past.
Americans are sick to death of the GOP behavior of the last 4 years. Smart people learn from their mistakes and the GOP learned a very hard lesson, if they know what's good for them.

Unfortunately, this is a possibility. A Republican Congress would certainly put a cap on Obama's wild spending spree. The people who still follow Obama, admire him because he is likable, and charismatic. They tend to dislike his policies, however. A Republican Congress would give the Obama Administration the face of being more centrist.
The one advantage we have, a Republican Congress is not going to improve Obama's leadership skills. Clinton was an experienced liberal Governor from a conservative state. Clinton knew how to work with conservatives to get things done. Obama seems to have problems working with most everybody. Except maybe, extreme left-wing liberals.
0bama will have to work with Congress now. Senate will have to work with the House. Four years of destruction will be blamed on no one but the Dems. Little Harry Reid better get on that budget and 0bama better start being a leader. His legacy isn't looking too good right now.
The DEMS better do it right this next 4 years or they'll never see a Democrat elected again.

apparently 0bama doesnt neeed congress as he has proven beyond a doubt that he doesnt care for the constitution and thinks nothing of acting unilaterally. and after the next four years, i think the democrats will be hard pressed to find any supporters.
americans can only take so much failure, even the media wont be able to sugarcoat it.

23 And now I, Mormon, seeing that the Lamanites were about to overthrow the land, therefore I did go to the hill Shim, and did take up all the records which Ammaron had hid up unto the Lord.

Congress defecates 70,000 pages of legislation annually, we are not 70,000 pages annually a better country for it.
I am looking forward to years of gridlock, they should all just take the next 4 years off.

If the GOP did not have the house Obama would spent 200 trillion dollars and tax every one 100% and tell them to bend over .
there not going to let Obama get every thing he wants.

No. But you have to think about it. He doesn't want to do it.
So why didn't Obama solve the immigration problem when he had 100% control of Congress in 2009?
1. He didn't have time? No.
2. He didn't want to? No.
3. He knew amnesty wasn't popular and didn't want the blame? Yes.
4. It made more sense to force Republicans to pass Amnesty and let them take the political blame? Yes. This is Obama's plan.
Does anyone actually believe that 65,000 children just up and decided on their own to march here from El Salvador and Guatemala? No. Obama sent them an invitation to pressure Republicans.
Even today he is still trying to force Republicans to take the political hit for allowing Amnesty. It is not going to happen.
