Question: Hi. I am thinking of including either sentence 1 or 2 in a law personal statement. Please suggest which sentence sounds better. Thanks. ***SENTENCE 1 "In the Eastern European Society, I have learned to appreciate the unique and diverse cultures within Europe." ***SENTENCE 2 "The Eastern European Society has given me a greater level of appreciation towards the cultural diversity in Europe."

Is this for a resume/cover letter? I would leave out the part about your family. The person reading it will automatically assume that you were given and have maintained the job because of your family ties, not because of your ability. I would keep it simple and say: My previous work experience includes co-managing a motel business. Good luck.

Sentence 1 sounds slightly awkward 'coz of its word choice and the placement. Sentence 2 sounds really smooth, so if I were you I'd go with the second one :]
