In response to an interview, should I send a thank you note, or letter? Topic: In response to an interview, should I send a thank you note, or letter?

Question: In school I learned that it is appropriate to send a thank you note after being interviewed for a position. I was looking up thank you notes to get some ideas on what to put in it, but found stuff for thank you letters. I have just a standard thank you note that comes in a pack of eight made by Hallmark that I was planning on sending, but I just want to make sure this isn't unappropriate. On a side note, everyone I interview with were pretty laid back, and it's in the field of graphic design, so I think that a letter would be to boring. I would rather send the note, but just want to see if this is not a good idea. Thanks!

At the end of the interview, you are supposed to ask them when they expect to make a decision. If it is going to be within a couple of days, send a thank you email. If you have more time, send a hand-written thank you card. But make sure that it is suitable for business: No cute designs, something very simple on good quality paper. Personally, I like blank notes from the Crane company. A thank you card needs to be sent within 24 to 48 hours.

They put a lot of effort into your baby dedication. If you are worried about delivery, write a hand written note in a card and deliver it yourself to the church office when you go for the worship service. The office secretary will deliver it to the preacher and probably have it printed in the announcements.

According to Miss Manners, an email would not be acceptable. Realistically, if you were responding to an individual it would depend on the level of comfort they have with receiving emails. But since this is an organization, it really should be mailed. And you can do it. Just go out right now and get a thank you card, buy the stamps, sign it and drop it in the mail. Or, bring the card with you to church and give it to the pastor. If you put it in the diaper bag or your purse the night before you won't forget to bring it.

No. Not the Hallmark Card. Thank you with a card are for personal responses to gifts. Business is business. Follow a standard business format and write a letter.

A postscript (from post scriptum, a Latin expression meaning "after writing" and abbreviated P.S.) is a sentence, paragraph, or occasionally many paragraphs added, often hastily and incidentally, after the signature of a letter or (sometimes) the main body of an essay or book.
