Question: I am very free on weekends but not in the week because of homework and activities. MY brother is allergic to cats. Birds are too messy and loud. My mom hates rodents so what should i get why i should get it and how i should go about persuasion. P.S My mom doesn't hate dogs but we don't have time and she doesn't mind rabbits but she says they are alot of work but I think she is saying that because she is a clean person. I am 12 years old mature, responsible and I am willing to look after any pet I have after my 4 or 5 years of longing for a pet. PLEASE HELP!!!

fish or chicken and a small amount of carrots you can boil them and adding some of the liquid chop and blend it into small bite sized pieces.I have heard milk is bad for a cat I have saw pet milk in the stores but like you I'm afraid of any pet food now especially with the recall on dry Hills science diet the pet food companies obviously have not checked all brands both dry and wet or they would have found this brand when they found the others it's sad that these same companies admit that don't investigate the food unless a pet dies I wonder if that's how the FDA treats human food too it happened with the peanut butter all foods pet and human should be checked before it ever goes on the market to be sold

Honestly, unless you have more time you shouldn't get a pet. Almost all animals need alot of loving or they won't be nice. You could get a fish to look at. they need to be fed every day and they need to be cleaned once in a while but that's about it. (depending on the fish, you could need more). a rabbit would be could because they can live indoors or outdoors. they need to be fed every day and they need fresh water every day. they should be cleaned at least once a week. I know you said that your mom doesn't like rodents but a gerbil would be perfect for you! They don't drink alot of water and they don't eat alot. They are fairly small so they only have to be cleaned like once a month! If you do decide to get one of these three, just go to a local pet store and ask someone that works there. they can tell you what you need. you could also, add me as a contact and send me an email and i can tell you what you need! Good Luck!!!♥

You could try fish. Although you can't really cuddle up with them as you could with a cat or dog, they are very interesting in their own way. You need to clean the aquarium about once every week or two, and feed them 2 or so times daily. Depending on which fish you get, they actually get to know you over time and recognize you. It's also a great learning experience as it teaches you a lot about water quality and ecosystems. Try fish out! Go to your local pet store or book store and ask them for some books about aquariums, read up, and then dive into it!
