For kids, the format is simple: Introduction~~~this were the main topic will be introduced to the readers. Body~~~~What do you want to say in the paper that goes with the main topic? Answering the who, what, where, how and why? Conclusion~~~Closing arguments. For example: Introduce the titanic...telling the reader what it is and why is it so significant that you write about.... it is always good to start essays with a question. Write a few paragraphs on basic information like what is the history, where was it heading, what were the people like, how was it made...stuff like that to show what happened to the ship and maybe why it happened Conclusion....wrap up you main topic and arguments. What was the result and maybe how it affects American history?

Introduction-- Include an attention grabber such as a quote or a question and also include the 3 main points which will be the "body paragraphs" 2nd 3rd & 4th paragrahs-- Include support these are the 3 main points to the report. Conclusion--- Summarize the report and restate the main points in a subtle way. Leave the reader something to think about.

Grey'sGirl has it right--intro, 3 or so body paragraphs, conclusion. That is standard for any basic report unless the instructor has specified something different. A short report is much like a speech--in the intro, you tell them what you are going to tell them; in the body, you tell them what your intro promised; in the conclusion, you tell them what you told them. Your child will probably be doing tons of reports for the next few years. If his or her text book does not have a good section on writing and grammar, it would be a good idea to invest in an age appropriate book.

Introduction - that tells what the paper will be about Body- several paragraphs on the important aspects (I would guess 1 each on the ship (how, big, who built it, where, unsinkable) , the passengers (how many, # of men, women, children, who were some of the notables) where and how it sank, the rescue (describe, etc) A conclusion that reiterates what the paper said. I'm sure his teacher gave him these instructions. To impress her have a title page (title of the paper, the class, date and his name) and a reference page (where did he get the information from?).

Title of the report Who asked for it Terms of reference - What the report is about Main Body - What happened. Keep to the facts e.g. When it was launched, biggest cruise liner, thought to be insinkable, hit by iceberg. Conclusions - Who/what do you think was to blame. Could it have been prevented. Recommendation - If you were to launch a ship what would you do to ensure a disaster didn't happen again e.g. have enough life boats for all the souls on board. Hope this helps!

If your child is willing to do a report on titanic, then you need to check out books from public liabery or go to some resorces over the internet they get more information about this story, and start doing a report by starting from theses words help you to do the report like who, what, when, where, when, and how. try to narrow down his thesis for the topic. the report is step by step and it takes time to do it.

Make sure that he talks about the majors of the ship, how many people were on it, how the ship went down, how many people died, how big the ship was, what kind of people were on it, and how this was the first sailing for the ship. You may also want to have him put in his report how the movie Titanic was made for what happened to something in real life.

"not necessarily ‘victory’ but a sustainable stability that both we and the Iraqis could live with" So are we finally defining victory or what? Are we willing to compromise on what was previously thought of as victory, or what?
