Flying is 10 times safer than driving a car, it's 7 times safer than walking and 4 times safer than taking a bath, statistically. I would recommend that you take a fear of flying course. They will help you understand all the principles of flying and explain all the mysterious noises and sensations. google fear of flying and look for something in your area. There's a whole out there to be discovered.

Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world; but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove that what is good and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. 2Timothy 1:9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began. Jeremiah 29:11-13 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon Me, and ye shall go and pray unto Me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek Me, and find Me, when ye shall search for Me with all your heart. Psalm 91 I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in Him will I trust. For He shall give His angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways, They shall bear thee up in their hands, least thou dash thy foot against a stone. The Bible is full of promises of hope for You to claim. Remember how God promises to never leave you or forsake you? John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you; not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. Perfect love casts out all fear. Study the Bible for yourself. There are many out there that are spreading terror without giving hope. God gives you the strength that you need, when you need it. Focus on your daily relationship with God, and He will help you. I have to live my life daily prepared to meet Jesus, in case an accident or illness should catch me off guard. The Comforter will bring to your mind the Bible verses you have studied, as you have need of them. The last day events will be frightening, if you don't have confidence in a saving God. Remember how God was with Noah through the world tribulation of the flood. When it seems like we are going to be utterly destroyed, in the darkest night the sky will light up with Jesus coming. 1Thessalonians 4:13-18 is a wonderful description of His coming to take His friends home with Him. Matthew 24 gives us signs of the nearness of Christ's coming, but there is one verse that tells us when He will come. Matthew 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. We don't know the day or the hour of Jesus return. There will be plagues that fall right at the end, just like fell on Egypt, before the Israelites were allowed to leave. Read that story and notice how God delivered His people. God promises our bread and water will be sure.

Sigh. Common astronomical phenomena mistaken as "signs". Okay, listen up. The Moon goes around the Earth in 29 days, or roughly 14 times in a year. Every 29 days there will be a full Moon. This is when the Moon is on the opposite side of the Earth from the Sun, and its entire face is illuminated. This is also when the Moon has a chance to pass through Earth's shadow. The Moon's orbit is tilted with respect to the Earth's orbit. If you were sitting off in space watching, you'd see the Moon pass above an imaginary line connecting the Sun to the Earth, then cross that line and dip below it, then cross again to repeat. So twice in each orbit around Earth, the Moon crosses that imaginary line and could line up with the Earth and sun. Twice a year, all three bodies can possibly line up. If the Moon is on one side of the Earth, we might get a solar eclipse. These are rare because there is a third factor - the distance from the Earth to the Moon. For a solar eclipse to happen, the moon not only has to be in the right place in its orbit - new moon during one of two periods six months apart - but also has to be the right distance from the Earth to appear to cover the Sun. Lunar eclipses are much more common. The Earth is so much bigger than the Moon that its shadow is more likely to cover the Moon in its orbit - there's more slop allowed. When this happens, sunlight filtering through the Earth's atmosphere illuminates the Moon dimly, and we see it as red, or "bloody". Four "blood moons" in two years is nothing out of the ordinary - it's simple orbital mechanics.

I hear ya, and I am the same way. I have flown all over the world, but the last few flights I have become terrified too. I know it's safe, and I know I'm not being rational, however no matter how hard I try I am still scared even though I know it is the safest mode of transportation. I have a long flight coming up in March. Vancouver to Cairo ( 14 1/2 hours) The last few long flights I had the Dr prescribe me Lorazepam (Ativan) It really helps take the nervous edge off, and I find it puts me to sleep for 6-7 hours. You shouldn't drink with anti-anxiety drugs as this intensifies the drug.

this is the generic name for Valium. Of course it may help. You can also take a cruise from Southampton to NYC (Queen Mary II, Queen Victoria, some other cruise lines do the Trans-Atlantic)...It is just slower....

Bob's father is 3 times as old as Bob. Bob is now 12, his father is 36. 3 x 12 = 36 They were both born in October. 4 years ago, he was 4 times older? Four years ago Bob was 8, his father was 32. 4 x 8 = 32
