Question: My air conditioner was running constantly, was set @ 73 was 63 in the house and it was still running. Turned the temp up even more and it still would not shut off. Then turned the thermostat to off and then the heat kicked in! So then it was trying to heat the house up to 78 on low..if I turn it to actual heat then it does kick in to heat high. Any idea what the problem could be?

Problem is relatively simple.....bad thermostat. If the unit otherwise ran well up until now, this is the problem. Simply run out to the hardware store , grab one of similar nature ,follow instructions and bam!!! Problem solved. Really, its that easy.

Most likely a plugged heater core Take off both lines and use a water hose in both ways to try and clear it out, If not it will need replaced.

Mm I'm pretty sure the thermostat Regulates the Heat in the Engine not the heat in the cabin... The Thermstat Controls the Coolant... not the heater core.. So it works on low.. but not on high? Maybe the heater core is faulty or Failing... I wouldn't think so on an 05.. Try closing all but 1 Vent Crank it to high and see what happens. Nothing changes then it's probably a vent stuck open some where forcing a loop.

If the temperature shown on your thermometer in no way varies, it particularly is not easy in charge the thermostat, because it could seem to be doing precisely what that's had to do. it particularly is, to maintain a relentless temperature. besides the incontrovertible fact that, it ought to be that that's merely too conscientious(!) and responding to adjustments that are so small, that they do no longer look to be detected via the thermometer. take a glance interior the administration unit and spot if there is an adjustment for "hysteresis". this could effectively desensitize the thermostat, and make it much less companies to alter on and stale for extremely short sessions.

There's a relay on the control board in the furnace that's stuck. It might go off if you hit it, but it will need to be replaced eventually.

There are several solutions with your allergic reactions to the sun. The first one would be not going out in open sunlight. It would probably be best not to become involved in an outdoor sport. Fortunately, in today’s world there are many options for exercise and professions that require little or no exposure to the sun. The best way to solve your problem is to consult your dermatologist. They can prescribe the best cream or medicine for you. Don’t just use anything, your skin rashes might get worse.
