How can someone who has never touched a drop of drink still crave it when they are feeling down?
Topic: How can someone who has never touched a drop of drink still crave it when they are feeling down?
June 16, 2019 / By Casey Question:
they dont think , they arent addicted but when the world seems hard on them they think to themslves 'i really need a drink' do they think it will be some escape? they never have a drink, theyre too young to easily get access to it, but why think that will solve everything in your life? it will only create more mess, and i dont want this person going down a road they cant get out of, one with drugs and alcohol, one filled with hate violence and lonliness....
i wouldnt wanna see a person go through that.
what do you think?
this person gets easily obsessed and addicted to things. she could spend 48hours striaght playing a computer game without needing sleep or contact with the outside world. :S
yh crave alcohol soz if i messed it up
maybe shes just trying to get a shock reaction? when she says it though i just dont say anything and talk about something else lol

I feel a person that is an addict will find a way to get it...age not withstanding.
Its not your problem...don't get caught up in it. Just be a friend to this person from a distance...its called detaching with love. Still be there but not IN it. Keeps yourself safe.
As far as why they say that...who knows. Maybe they feel like it would be easier to check out...that's what you do when you drink, whether or not you are an alcoholic. Or maybe it is the shock value. Or maybe its a cry for help. Can you suggest they talk to a therapist?
And you don't need to have a drop of anything to crave it...addictions are genetic (all kinds) and people can have predispositions.

Loneliness -> The only thing that can help here is finding some friends.
Shyness -> The only way to overcome this is to, well, not be shy. I mean, go talk to some people and have some fun.
Guilty -> Why would you feel guilty? What have you done? If you have done nothing, then you have no reason to feel this way.
Scared -> Should probably be overcome by solving your shyness / loneliness problems.
Not understanding people -> Are you nervous? Try to overcome this. They are people just like you are. Learn to better communicate with them.
From what you say, the person isn't "craving" a drink in the sense that they crave alcohol.
More than likely, they're underage and they only crave it because they want to see what it feels like to drink, or what adults mean when they say they crave one.
You're right to worry about it, though. Teenage girls especially with certain predispositions can get addicted very quickly to alcohol - much more quickly than adults.

That person needs professional help. They have inside turmoil and yes they will try to medicate one way or another if not helped. Check out this website. www.theophosticprayer.com

They have no experience with it so they just crave the idea of it. I think it's simple curiousity and they'll get over it.

According to my molecular specimens, i have come to the conclusion that you are suffering from the disease:
Otherwise known as CRAP. Common side effectes that have been observed in lab rats include skin rashes, hair growth from abnormal places such as the earlobes, and yes, cravings for Hawaiian burgers.
Although there have so far been no medical breakthroughs in the solving of this problem, scientists suggust that sketching politically correct cows and/or drinking Koolaid through your nose may ease these symptoms.
For now, i would say just try to rid these interfering thoughts form your mind by thinking about Carrie Underwood, and the scientific connection between velcro and silk underwear.
I hope this helps! :)
