Here is what I suggest: In whatever cultural the person was raised in that is most likely the religion they will believe. However, there is no such thing as a deity and all with one are delusional. Base your paper around that and do research to back up your facts.

Wow....you wrote an essay. In my own opinion, I don't think you can ever truly know who you are until you return to the source. The source for us has never been inline with Christian ideals. And if you ask yourself honestly, WHAT good has Christianity ever done for Native people's?

I do not think it is necessary to have a religion in one's life. I've never had one, and I've had a happy and fulfilling life so far. People who have grown up with religion their whole lives may tell you that it's necessary for them, which it may be at this point. But that is only because they've become dependent on it over time.

Not only is not necessary it is disruptive to many lives. Religion causes more problems than it solves. Just look at the number of wars fought over religion. I challenge you to name one war that was influenced by a difference in religion of the warring parties.

Muslims arent interested in "cross-cultural understanding". They are the most self-righteous hatefilled people on earth. Whether they live in Saudia Arabia, Indonesia, or Yemen, makes no difference at all. Muslims are the most hatefilled people on earth. No one else comes close.

It is important to have a connection to our group in our lives and for centuries religion provided it as well as giving answers to people who couldn't find them. It is important to have connection and acceptance in our lives. How we get them religion, government or clan affiliation is the least important part of a vital need.

1. First of all, Islam does permit polygamy, but its restricted and regulated [Quran 4:3 & 4:29]. Generally its not encouraged. ► Less 1-2% of ALL Muslims [1.2+ billion] engage in polygamy, although is allowed in 95% of all Muslim-majority countries. ► IMPORTANTLY, when a woman signs a Nikkah contract, she can specifically prevent her husband from talking a second wife. This is her right. ► Nikkah (Islamic marriage) contact is like a pre- nuptial agreement, where both the parties interested, can state their conditions regarding the marriage. [If mutually acceptable to both parties]. Hence: ☞ You can prevent you husband from taking a second wife. ☞ You can decide what faith your children will follow. ☞ You can decide on your dowry (mahr). ☞ You can decide WHAT IF, in case of divorce [child custody]. ☞ You can decide the inheritence, in case of divorce or death. ☞ And so on. --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- 2. I 'll keep short, because these comments are coming from some one who has very limited in depth of islam --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- ► How to raise children with religion, but to pertinently exclude certain ideas like homosexuality is a deadly sin, Ans: Homosexualty is considered a sin ALL Abrahamic faiths. Its the Bible that carries a death sentence for homosexuality, NOT KORAN. ► that stoning to death is a fair punishment for cheating on your man/wife Ans: The practicing of Stoning is NOT to be found in the Koran, but in the bible. Its a Jewish custom that the early Muslims adopted. Koranic punishment for adultery is 100 lashes. ► and that everybody that does not believe in God goes straight to hell? Any suggestions?? ANS: Again, according to Koran (alone), ALL MONOTHEISTS will eventually enter Paradise. [Quran 2:62]. --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- Islam generally, through allowed for Muslim (males), doesn't encourage inter- faith marriages. I suggest you study Islam, before you can decide for yourself. Same goes for Christianity or Judaism. --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- ---
