Question: 1) I heartily accept the motto, "That government is best which governs least"; and I should like to see it acted up to more rapidly and systematically. 2) Under a government which imprisons any unjustly, the true place for a just man is also a prison. 3) The soldier is applauded who refuses to serve in an unjust war by those who do not refuse to sustain the unjust government which makes the war. These quotes are all from Henry David Thoreau's Civil Disobedience.. for those who tell me to do my own hw..ur excused. this is not homework..by the way..i thought yahoo answers main point was to give answers..hence the name..so..if u say "do ur own hw" then wat r u doing here? why bother?

If we look at a family situation, which is a microcosm of government, the family that governs the least is the family whose children have neither respect nor morals. They have no rules to abide by and are not welcome in the homes where children have been taught right from wrong. If the government wants to govern less, then like the parents, there has to be systematic teaching of morals and discipline in order to develop a conscience. Then they are free to let the kids go their own way. For a government to do this, there would have to be systematic instruction geared to every one at the level of their development !!!!! It's far easier to issue laws and punishments. 2 This is an illogical statement. You acknowledge that it is unjust for the gov. to imprison a just man, so the prison is an unjust place for him to be in. 3 That maybe so. It is a sweeping statement, and as such lacks credibility. However, the applause for a soldier is a one to one personal response. The reversal of a government has many more factors involved. As well, voting is private and we do not know which individuals are responsible for the Yes vote. If the applauders of the soldier's bravery are in the majority and the government still gets in, then other factors than war and bravery are in motion. This is an added argument that other factors are responsible for gov. reelection.

ok, nicely enable's damage it down. We clamor about on existence's contradictions.... We communicate and communicate with reference to the issue of existence's ironies. attempting to get someplace and by no potential fall. attempting to achieve success without causing ourselves any harm. dragging our chosen kit... wearing the bags that we ourselves have picked up contained in the first position. To me this quote speaks of ways we've develop right into a society of complainers, a collection of individuals that want no negative aspects, guarenteed sucess and for all and assorted to experience sorry for us because we are wearing round in spite of burden we've accrued over our lives. no longer seeing the quote in context of something of the tale and by no potential having examine the Catcher contained in the Rye for some 18 atypical years i'd ought to say it truly is my suitable stab, nonetheless no longer a web page yet per chance a launching aspect... solid success!

Is it a valedictory address? Well, I used to deliver one. If you don't mind, I would just write a tiny bit of a "paragraph" (for your speech but if you like not to include it, it's okay. It's just an idea). By the way, Nice quote! "Ever tried, ever failed. Try again, fail again but fail better." That quote fascinated me since then. Why? Because, it is something that really happens in our lives even me. I used to try (insert your goals or what you want to try) but unfortunately, I failed. Well, I learned that we should not give up right? Well, I tried again and failed again. Once I thought, why is life so unfair? Why is life loves challenges? Why life loves trials? Why? That is when I don't know what to do. I am not an easy guy/gal for life to play with and I tried for the third time but failed for the third time. But that time was different. It made me feel better. It was like, it made me ready for the real world. It prepared me for rejection. At the time I learned what life meant to teach me this lesson, and I learned why life is full of trials. Life is not as unfair as we think of it. It only wants to teach us an important lesson to be prepared for the real world beyond what we know. And now, I'm standing here in front of you, to tell you, to share you what life taught me; "Never let problems rule. Keep from playing the game." I hope I made myself clear and I hope I contributed a little for your speech. (I also answered your other question. (~,^)) God Bless! :-)
