Question: Can a bad installation of an aftermarket stereo on a 1994 Chevy Camaro z28 make a heater, and defroster not work? Also my interior light that turns on when i open the door doesnt work, and the transmission shifter lights dont turn on. I dont have the stock stereo to put it back on to find out if it was a bad installation. Has anybody had this same problem happend to there car? I forgot to mention that my heater only throws air, but not warm air.

Take the car back to whoever did the work for the stereo and have them correct the problem, after all they are the ones who screwed up the job. Chances are there is an exposed wire somewhere or a wire touching another causing a grounding out of the circuit. As to your heater problem I would replace the thermostat and have the cooling system flushed out and new fluid put in. If this does not solve your problem then your heater core is bad and needs replaced. I have the same heating problem with my Camaro.

The fan blower blows air through the heating and the A/C coils at the same time, they are stacked together. So what your saying can not be true. It is possible that the hose has come off the vent and it is somehow blowing enough air around for there to be some movement and it could be cooler air but if it is force full as the other vents are then you need to get a thermometer because your guessing.

They hooked something up wrong. Maybe tapped a power wire that is used for that circuit, or took something apart and didn't put it together right. If your heater doesn't put out any heat, the coolant level may be low, or you may need check the heater core for being clogged.

thats a typo dude, i wonder if there is a site to send funny messed up advertisements? you could probably rank a high score with that one. just sounds like they messed up. the car actually has a rear window defroster gone out, and fixing to throw a piston rod thru the side of the engine block. or it could be that they dont know that it is a stuck valve that getting sucker punched by the piston every time it come around. look under valve cover and see if there is any push rods pushed plum thru a rocker arm somewhere.

Who ever put it in screwed up the wiring big time. You need to take it to someone that knows what they're doing.

It can only read pressure behind distributor or else right above oil filter adapter on drivers side of block. The 3 wires are in a single connector, unless it's been hacked up.
