Deeds do not leave you. But if you really want to impress your teacher, ask to come up with your own theme. Throughout the book is a metaphore about plants. It describes people as seeds, flowers, trees, and falling leaves. There are EVERYWHERE. If you look, it will form a perfect and easy paper. It won't be any extra work and will score you major points with your teacher.

Hello Jared, James Hurst's short story, "The Scarlet Ibis" reveals that the brotherly bond between the narrator and Doodle is an essential component in the story. If Doodle was a girl, the brotherly connection and bond would be lost, resulting in many variations throughout the story. If Doodle was a girl the narrator probably wouldn't spend as much time with Doodle. A brother-brother relationship is very different than a brother-sister relationship. Doodle would likely be closer to another female such as her mother. Young girls tend to spend more time indoors with their mothers learning to sew, playing with dolls and other girl things. Its not that a brother-sister relationship is non-existent, but its a lot different. With Doodle spending more time inside, "she" wouldn't ever experience summers down by the swamp learning to run, box and climb trees. All of those things are things that little boys do. Brothers spend more time outside running, wrestling and playing sports. Read the full essay here:

A theme essay should tell the theme of the book you read. A theme is the moral or the message of a story. Themes are often found by seeing what the main character learns you can write that the theme is.... because the character learned.....

The story focuses on the troubled relationship between two young boys: the narrator and his mentally and physically disabled brother, Doodle. It explores the conflicts between love and pride and draws attention to the effects of familial and societal expectations on those who are handicapped. The narrative unfolds against the background of the carnage of World War I, with its associated themes of the dangers of attempting to make others over in one?s own image, the brotherhood of all mankind, and the waste of life resulting from a lack of love and compassion. In the course of the story, Doodle becomes symbolically identified with a rare and beautiful scarlet ibis which, finding itself in a hostile environment, dies. The ibis's story resonates not only with Doodle's own fate but with the fate of those from the United States and other countries who died in the war.

This is what my tutor told me: Intro: briefly summarize the story/piece that you read. End it by relating what you want to say in the next three paragraphs P1: Start with the idea that has less impact. + 3 supports P2: Choose the second + 3 supports P3: Write about your strongest idea here + 3 supports 3 supports: meaning 3 either examples or evidence to what you have to say. Always use at least 3 quotations. Conclusion: Refer back to the intro about what you said and end with some pizazz -Good luck! :)

2 things really, 1- which one will be most enjoyable, so you will naturally think about it in more depth. 2- which question can you answer in the most detail and fill with good arguements and references so you can maximise your grade. I would pick 5 cos I think most others will pick the rest. I think it is so open to argue what others would spend money on and you can concentrate on a subject. I would look at current affairs and report on that. Say you would give it to charity and why, discuss the charities affairs backed with figures and impact on lives. Write what others may choose, you can write about materialistic people etc etc. It will make your teacher sit up and realise how much depth there is in you. Other would prob choose question 1 and write, I wish could fly so I can see the world or something. All the other questions could be expanded on and made to sound good, but I think the 5th is so open to be able to impress the person marking your paper.

I don't know what class this is for. which would make a difference to me.... well, if you took number 5 and wanted it to be meaningful, you could call a local shelter and find out what they need, go to the store and buy all that you could and then donate it to the shelter. Question 4..... Guessig you have no contact with anyone, and no internet. Start writing a journal, or a book about about your life, or what your goals in life would be... depends on where you are living in solitude. is it on an island or in your house or apartment. organize organize and more organizing. Live the life of someone who you has a disability or mental illness or something you want to learn ore aobut ... life the life of a deaf person, or a blind person so you can appriciate what you have... 1. Super hero.... I think the name depends on what your choice as your super power. I don't know what a scotuem is?? sorry I am not an English major or have a huge vocabulaty, or can spell sometimes spell at 3 am.... meaningful... what is your passion in life. if it was me... I would have some kind so super power to help those who are mental ill... to be there before they kill themselves. and the mission to be to either find a drug to help mental illness or to help make it be more acceptable like it is more acceptable to have AIDS or be bisexual..... but to say you have a mental illness... people don't understand it as well... okay.... there are my ideas... hope it helps on your paper. #1 sounds really fun, #2 sounds really nice, and #4 sounds interesting too. I wouldn't know enough about #3 and #5 would be really hard and your teacher would be more likely to judge you. (would you donate some of that money to charity?) Go with whatever you think you know the best. There's gotta be one that you relate to the best, no? If you really can't pick, pick randomly. If you hate the choice you picked, don't pick that one, and instead either randomly pick again or choose the one you realize you want to pick. Good luck. This sounds like a fun assignment. I definitely wish this could replace the homework I have to do.... lol :) :)
